Director - Tracy Spencer BPhty; MPhty, (Musculoskeletal), Pilates Int. Cert.
Tracy is a Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. Her areas of interest include post-neurosurgery rehabilitation, spinal dysfunction, core stability assessment and progression, acupuncture and fibromyalgia. Tracy has had 30 years physiotherapy experience as a clinician, researcher and lecturer. She is a recent past president of APA(Q), member of the Queensland Board of the Physiotherapy Board of Australia and accreditation surveyor for QIP/AGPAL. She is also Director of Rivercity Rehab providing inpatient services to the Neurosciences Department at the Mater Misericordiae Private Hospital.
Director - Mark Comerford BPhty, MCSP
Mark worked clinically at the Mater Public Hospital and lectured at the University of Queensland before moving to the UK in 1992. Having researched and practised extensively for 30 years, he has established postgraduate courses in dynamic stability and muscle balance. His other companies, Kinetic Control and Performance Stability, present courses worldwide in 20 countries and 7 languages. He also consults for various sporting and professional organisations around the world such as the Chicago Bulls. Mark has published several papers on the integration of local and global muscle retraining to enhance joint stability function.

Director - Sue Roll BPhty; Grad Dip Manipulative Therapy, BA(Psychology)
Sue is a Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. She has lectured on spinal pain and segmental muscle control in Australia, United Kingdom, South America, Africa, Asia, Europe, Canada and New Zealand and consults on lumbo-pelvic rehabilitation and complex spinal pain syndromes. She was a senior clinical physiotherapist on the prestigious Harley Street, London before returning to Australia. Her expertise is in complex case management: diagnosing the pathology and coordinating the best combined medical approach. Sue has been a member of the spinal pain research group at the University of Queensland and an associate lecturer, clinical educator and examiner for the masters of Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy courses at the University of Queensland and Griffith University.

Amanda Kilmister BPhty; MPhty (Sports)
Amanda is a Sports Titled Physiotherapist and a full time staff member at Performance Rehab. She worked in the public system before heading to the United Kingdom on a working holiday. Since her return to Brisbane she has worked in private practice and provided inpatient services at the Mater Private Hospital Neurosurgical unit. In 2007 she completed her Sports Masters at the University of Queensland, of which she was dux. Her clinical areas of interest are progressive core stability programs, pilates, lower limb bio mechanics, dry needling, and running and dance-related injuries. Amanda is a current member of the Queensland branch council of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
Monique Kurki BApplSc (Physiotherapy) MApplSc (Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy)
Cert IV (Pilates Instruction)
Monique has a Masters Degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and is a Certified Pilates Instructor. She has 30 years experience as a physiotherapist in private practice and public hospitals as well as teaching and mentoring physiotherapy students and Pilates instructors. Monique combines state of the art physiotherapy knowledge with her extensive Pilates experience to provide personalised rehabilitation programs at Performance Rehab. She has a special interest in the management of chronic pain conditions, in particular, correcting poor breathing and muscle patterning for better everyday function. Monique also provides individualised exercise programs for osteoporosis sufferers, minimising their chances of fracture.

Cathy Nash BPhty, MPhty (Sports)
Cathy is a Sports Titled Physiotherapist. Her particular areas of clinical interest include sport injuries (shoulders and knees) orthopaedic related conditions, musculoskeletal imbalances, and postural and functional movement analysis. Cathy has been involved in the Queensland Branch of the Sports Physiotherapy Group organising continuing education for physiotherapists with an interest in sports injuries. Cathy has also worked as a clinical educator and examiner at the University of Queensland.
Jennifer Setchell BSc (Physiotherapy)
Jenny Setchell has 15 years experience as a physiotherapist. She is also a pilates instructor, yoga teacher and circus trainer/performer. As a physiotherapist, Jenny has treated circus performers and dancers in Australia and internationally, bankers and lawyers in London, surfers in Byron Bay, the aged in Katoomba, both soldiers and prisoners in Darwin and miners on Groote Eylandt. Jenny is experienced in acupuncture, pilates and the treatment of BPPV (positional vertigo). She prefers a ‘hands on’ approach and brings a broad perspective to both her physiotherapy and pilates sessions.

Nadi Kurtschenko BSc. Phyty St.
Nadina Kurschenko has a Masters of Physiotherapy Studies and a Bachelor of Science majoring in human anatomy and physiology. She commenced her career in private practice and developed an interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, core stabilisation and pelvic floor dysfunction. She has also worked in rehab and corporate settings conducting ergonomic assessments, manual handling training, FCE’s and work site assessments. Nadina has worked as a rehab clinic manager, Physiotherapist and a Pilates Instructor. Nadina now works in the Neurosciences Department with Rivercity Rehab at the Mater Misericordiae Private Hospital, and as Physiotherapist and Pilates instructor with Performance Rehab.
Patrick Swete-Kelly BPhty (Hons); MPhtySt (Musculoskeletal); FACP
Pat is a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over 20 years experience in sport and musculoskeletal physiotherapy with special interest in spinal and shoulder conditions and specific postural control. Pat is a Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland providing clinical guidance and instruction to Physiotherapists undertaking their Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. He works part time at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital leading a multidisciplinary allied health team managing patients with complex and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. His approach to treatment is patient focused and considers pain management strategies, longer-term function and performance with integrated multi-disciplinary care when appropriate.
Debbie Dale BPhty (currently on maternity leave)
Debbie graduated in 1994 from the University of Queensland. Her career began working in a Rehabilitation Centre for Workcover Qld, then followed on to Greenslopes Private Hospital. Her main area of interest at Greenslopes Private Hospital was working in the rehabilitation unit with people post stroke, amputation, parkinson’s disease or those struggling to recover post surgery. Debbie entered into the private practice arena in 1999 and shortly after became a pilates instructor. Debbie continues to follow her passion for rehabilitation now aimed more towards neck, back and sporting injuries. She feels that pilates, in conjunction with her hands on physiotherapy skills including acupuncture, offers a great way to recover from a vast array of injuries.

Julia Treleaven BPhty, PhD
In addition to her clinical work at Performance Rehab, Julia works part-time as a Researcher and Clinical Assessor for the Whiplash Physical Diagnostic Unit. She has gained extensive experience in assessing patients with whiplash injuries and providing recommendations to physiotherapists, insurers, general practitioners and medical specialists for best practice management of these patients. She completed her PhD studies on dizziness and sensorimotor impairments in whiplash. Her particular clinical interests include assessment and rehabilitation of neck pain, headache, cervicogenic dizziness and whiplash injuries.

Deb Hewat BApSc physio
Deb graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in physiotherapy from Sydney University in 1999. Upon graduating Deb worked in the rehabilitation unit at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney rehabilitating quadriplegic's and paraplegic's. After moving to Brisbane, Deb worked in the rehabilitation unit at Greenslopes Private Hospital with a particular interest in spinal injuries. In 2001 Deb studied the pilates method which has been her area of focus for the past 9 years. Deb has a particular interest in clients who require rehabilitation.

Anne Walker BPhty
Anne has over 20 years experience as a physiotherapist. She has worked in both the private and public hospital systems, the Defence Force (Air Force) at Amberley and most extensively within private practice. She has also been involved with teaching pilates over the last 10 years. More recently Anne has combined her interest in spinal stability with women's health. She also works at the Mater Mothers' Private Hospital treating post natal women and conducting post natal pilates classes. Anne enjoys playing a variety of sports such as netball, water polo and touch football and keeps active by running and cycling, therefore maintains a particular interest in musculoskeletal injuries.
Carla Forbes BPhty
Following graduation from the University of Queensland in 1996, Carla worked at the Mater Misericordiae Public Hospital in Brisbane. She was lured to the UK soon after on a working holiday, where she commenced her military career. During her time in the UK she was awarded membership of the Manipulative Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. Having served in the British Army in several countries, she has now returned to work in the Neurosciences Department with Rivercity Rehab at the Mater Misericordiae Private Hospital. Carla is a worksite assessor for Performance Rehab, a role that compliments her interest and experience in the area of Occupational Health.

Clayton Jones Dip. Rem. Massage
Clayton completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage at the Northside Natural Health Centre in Sydney in 2005. Clayton offers relaxation, therapeutic, sports, deep tissue, fascial mobilisation, and myo-facial trigger point massage treatments. Clayton has a history in athletics and beach sprinting where he has won numerous Australian and World Championship medals and has received countless hours of massage therapy himself. This gives him a greater range of skills and techniques to draw upon. Clayton has a particular interest in hip and shoulder pain management. Clayton joined Performance Rehab in March 2010 to work closely with the Physiotherapists and Pilates Instructors to offer patients soft tissue therapy treatment as part of their pain management and rehabilitation.

Kellie Gordon BSc (Hons); MPsychClin, MAPS
Kellie is a registered psychologist with a Master of Clinical Psychology Degree and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She has a broad range experience in evidence based assessment and treatment of psychological disorders, including mood, anxiety, trauma and adjustment disorders. Kellie is also currently employed as the orthopaedic psychologist at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and also acts as a clinical consultant at the Mater Misericordiae Private Hospital. Kellie is particularly interested in assisting people to make health behaviour change such as weight management, pain management and chronic illness management. She is committed to assisting people to improving their well-being and quality of life, utilising cognitive behavioural and acceptance and commitment therapeutic strategies.

Jackie Ker Cert IV Pilates
Jackie has over 10 year years experience and is an accredited pilates instructor having trained with Pilates International. She has extensive knowledge of repertoire and apparatus used for pilates in rehabilitation. She is also a current Level 1 member of the Pilates Alliance of Australasia. Her main interest is in rehabilitation of sports related injuries along with strength, conditioning and postural assessments. Her other interests include pre and post pregnancy related training to help strengthen the pelvic floor and core stability muscles. Jackie has found pilates to be beneficial in maintaining her extensive training and recovery process whilst competing in triathlons.

Catherine Neal BA (Dance) Dip. Prof. Pilates Instruction
Catherine began teaching pilates in 2004 and has taught in rehab and general health settings. She holds a Diploma in Professional Pilates Instruction, a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and is a mentor with Polestar Pilates Education Australia. Her background in dance and health sciences have given her a passion for movement and she loves helping her clients improve their health through pilates. She is a level 2 member of the Pilates Alliance Australasia and also teaches dance part-time.

Luise Seidler Cert IV Pilates
Luise became interested in Pilates through her classical dance training. Luise attended classes to further her love for this exercise framework before becoming an instructor. Luise studied both Stott and BASI methods of pilates to gain a broader overview before commencing teaching in 2000. Luise has instructed pilates at a number of physiotherapy centres in Brisbane and has instructed at Performance Rehab for over 5 years. Her expertise is in sports and dance related rehab and training and working with our maturing population. Luise's cliental range from 12 years to 90yearrs in age.

Jenny Tomkins Cert IV Pilates, Dip of Remedial Massage
Jenny Tomkins has 8 years experience in studio and mat work pilates in the health and fitness Industry and most particularly Physiotherapy based environments. Prior to this Jenny worked for 30 years as a health and fitness professional (weight training, aqua, body pump, health assessments) in the fitness environment and in physiotherapy practices. Other professional activities include sports training for men's veterans hockey to state and national championship level. Jenny's qualifications include Certificate IV in pilates instruction, health and fitness instructor, remedial massage therapist and sports trainer. She enjoys working in a busy and challenging environment aiming to impart knowledge to empower individuals to take control of their health, fitness and life direction.

Cheryl has been the Clinic Manager for Performance Rehab since it first opened in 2003. Her ability to manage a diverse and busy environment has been an important asset to the sustainability and efficiency of the clinic.
